Syngene's unique software guarantee provides free updates of GeneTools and GeneSnap for the life of the system. In order to provide you with the latest tools we constantly seek to improve and evolve our software utilising, where appropriate, the latest advances within the field of Molecular Biology.
New versions of our software products are released roughly every 6 months and are available for download from this website. Make sure you bookmark this page and return regularly. Alternatively, you can request to join our mailing list and we will contact you when a new release is available.
Please note that these updates are not suitable for systems running Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.
GeneFlash 0.34
Update to the latest version of GeneFlash software (version 0.34). To upgrade to this latest version, save the downloaded file from your computer to a USB memory stick, place this in the GeneFlash and select 'Update software' from the Settings list.
GeneTools 4.00(a)
The latest GeneTools update includes installation support for working with Windows Vista 32 and now has extended pattern matching facilities.

GeneDirectory
Version 1.03a of GeneDirectory has the following new features: 1) Ability to view longer tracks than previous versions; 2) Allows the export of data, aligned dendrogram and aligned track images to Excel, 3) Allows unlimited elements in the composite track used for bandmatching.
GeneSnap 7.04(g)
Upgrade to the latest GeneSnap including support for Windows Vista 32. Note this is not suitable for the GeneLink legacy system. This upgrade includes the latest focus indicator, effective pixel option, support for the EPI lighting modules and support for the motorised stage fitted to the G:BOX Chemi XL, G:BOX Chemi XT16 and Dyversity systems.
If you have one of the following cameras, we recommend that you update the camera drivers when you update to the latest GeneSnap: GeneGenius Super12, ChemiGenius2, ChemiGeniusQ.
Unzip the file downloaded to CD or a drive and run the setup program.
