Which excitation wavelength and which emission filter should I use?

1. Select your system

2. Select your dye

3. Select your sample format

  • Multiplex applications have not been considered, so if you need to multiplex a number of dyes then please contact Syngene for further information.
  • If you are unsure of the emission filter chosen for your chosen dye and require a custom filter as you would like to multiplex, then please consult Syngene for the design of custom filters.
  • If you select a visible dye, depending on the excitation light you use, you may need to select the UV filter or ND filter depending on whether you would like to improve the contrast or reduce saturation.
  • Only the 6 most popular chemiluminescent kits are listed; if your kit is not listed then choose “chemiluminescence”.
  • There are many silver and coomassie blue variants, and these have been grouped under “Coomassie blue and variants” and “Silver and variants”.
  • There are many colorimetric reagents so these have been grouped under “Colorimetric dyes”.
  • If your dye of interest is not listed then contact Syngene.
